Learn how to integrate in your WooCommerce installation the possibility for your customers to pay using the cryptocurrency Ripple (XRP) through the CoinPayments payment gateway (www.coinpayments.net). Established in 2013 with headquarters in the Cayman Islands, CoinPayments allows virtual and physical stores to accept payments in addition to Bitcoin even in 1100 altcoins through plugins for the main ecommerce software, API and Point of Sale (POS) Interface.
Let’s go
Go to your WordPress installation and install the plugin “CoinPayments.net Payment Gateway for WooCommerce”
Once installed, enter WooCommerce and access “Settings – Payments”
Enable “CoinPayments.net” and click on “Manage”
You’ll now complete the following fields:
- Merchant ID
- IPN Secret
- Debug Email
In order to enter the information you need to register and access to www.coinpayments.net. Click on “Account” – “Account Setting”
You can now copy and paste your “Merchant ID”
Now go to the “Merchant Setting” section and create the IPS Secret. Simply put, you need to create a secret word / code that you will need to include in your WooCommerce
It’s time to choose the cryptocurrency. Coinpayments offers a wide range of cryptocurrency by default, in the following guide we will opt to accept payments exclusively in Ripple.
Click on “Coin Setting”
you will have to deselect all the cryptocurrency
remember to confirm by clicking on “Update Coin Preferences” at the bottom of the page
Access the “Ripple” menu now and select only the “Ripple XRP” entry
Log in as a customer in our WooCommerce store. Now have the payment option “CoinPayments.net”
